Just like Thank you cards you can never have enough "Get Well" cards on hand. I like to make "Get well" cards that will make that person giggle to themselves and this one does just that! I bought the SVG file from www.thescrapchick.com (Remember I said she had a great sale this past weekend and I took advantage of it?) The front of the card says, "Heard you're sick" and then the inside says," Remember donot whine or show your behind and get better real soon"

Thanks so stinkin much
Hi everyone! Ever need a Thank you card quick? Seems like I am always needing one so I sometimes make several of the same one just for those occasions.
I made this card for a friend of mine. She loves Pippy LaPue. So I went searching for a Skunk SVG file and found this one at www.JillsPaperJems.com. (www.thescrapchick.com also has a cute one). The skunk is holding a sign that says "Thanks" and on the inside it says "...so stinkin much!!!" You can actually use this cut for several different things like a card for your husband that says, "I love you so stinkin much" or you could do a scrapbook page of one of your children making a mess or cutting their own hair(I have lots of these) and title it "You've been a stinker" Just to name a few.

Li' Song Bird is Graduating
Hi everyone!!! I hope you all had a funtastic Memorial Day. I spent the day doing my favorite thing ever. You guessed it... card making and scrapbooking!!! I really got alot accomplished. Ever have days like that? Days that you just spring out all kinds of projects. The creative juices get flowing and there is no stopping you and then there are days I want to make something but to save my life I can't make a thing look right. Well, lucky for me I was having a creative juices flowing kinda day. That means I have several projects to share with all of you. I will try to share a new item everyday this week.
Todays project was inspired by a lady I work with. Her son graduated this weekend and he can sing like the most beautiful songbird you have ever heard. Thus, my inspiration. I found this SVG file for SCAL at my new favorite place www.thescrapchick.com. She was having an awesome sale this Memorial Day Weekend and boy did I take advantage of it. This SVG file is called Songbird. I cut the graduation hat from Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut cartridge and the paper.... well, I can't tell you for sure just some scraps I had on hand. Hope you enjoy and gets your creative juices to flowing.

Giraffe Card
Hi everyone! Is it raining where you are? It is pouring buckets here. I am sorry I haven't posted a video recently. To be honest getting over my back surgery is proving to be a slower process than I expected. So, I have one video I hope to get uploaded in a day or two and after that I will probably post pictures on my blog for awhile. I hope you will still join me and I appreciate your support.
I used the Paisley cricut cartridge for this card.

Giving your support card
Hi everyone! I almost have a new video ready to view. I thought I would give you one more card to see. I made this for a friend. The sentiment on the front says: Wanted to show our support and then on the inside you can write a personal sentiment. This is a great card to give some one who has breast cancer or surgery or just a great friend who has a good sense of humor and needs a laugh. A couple of other sentiments you could use is: Breast Wishes,Bravo, or Thought you could use a Lift.
To create this card I used the Sweethearts cartridge, Nestabilities Label #3 dies and K&Company paper pack called: Smitten (I love how this paper looks like lace.)

Trendy Recipe Box
Hi everyone! Is it raining where you are? It is a cold drizzly day here in Tennessee. A perfect day to stay in and get crafting! Which gives me an idea for today's post:
Do you have a drawer or folder full of Recipes that you've cut from magazines, swapped with friends, and family recipes (recipes you've called your mom or sister to get real quick)? I do, especially recipes I've called my sister for if I need something for work and want to impress. Did I mention she got the cooking talent? Well today's post is to help you get them all organized!
PaperTrey Inc. has a great stamp set called "Recipe Box" as well as recipe card to help you get all those recipes organized. You can also buy a recipe box from them. I personally bought my recipe box from Michael's from the (you guessed it) Dollar bind! You gotta love a great bargain.I also used the "From My Kitchen" cartridge.

Weight Loss Journal
Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by! I have a question for all you crafters out there. Where do you find your "Inspiration" for your crafting projects? I usually get mine from events happening with me and my family, a song, what supplies I have bought recently and can't wait to use and many from other blogs. There are alot of very talented ladies out in the blogging world. I have heard that some get their's from color combinations. Mine usually starts with the idea first and color's I use depend on my mood, the pictures I am using on that page, or the type of project and who I am making it for.... We'll explore more on that subject later, onto my inspiration for this project. As mentioned before I am having some back trouble going on 9 weeks now!(Ughh) Anyhow, I have taken several rounds of prednisone and if any of you have taken this you know what I'm talking about when I say, "It makes you GAIN weight". Thus the inspiration for my weight loss journal. You could also use this same concept to make other types of journals. I made my daughter one for her Junie B Jones sticker collection. I hope you might find some inspiration in todays project and don't forget leave a comment. I love hearing from you.

Simple St. Patrick's Day Card
Hi everyone. Thanks for stopping by today. Can you believe two videos in one day? Actually I am having some back trouble that has left me less mobile at the moment. I have been making videos all along while I was having technical issues and now that I finally found a editing program that will work on my computer it seems to be a good time to work on uploading them as well as keeping my mind busy. I hope you enjoy.

Leo The Lion Valentine Card
Hello everyone. Thanks for visiting my blog today. I first want to take a moment to thank my sister and niece for all their hard work getting my new blog up and running. Didn't they do a great job? I think so. Because I am so grateful I am dedicating my first video to them.
Saturday I went for my weekly visit to one of my favorite stores "Michaels" They have alot of Valentine papers, stickers, stamps, glitter....I could go on and on but you will have to check it out. Anyway I came across this Paper pad by K&Company for Valentines Day. (Have I mentioned I am totally a paper addict?) This pad has glitter, foil and die cuts, plus a few stickers. A total of 106 pieces, 50 sheets of paper. Using my 40% off coupon it was around $12.00. Not bad right? Yeh, thats what I thought too. It gave me an idea. I am going to try and see how many different Valentines Cards I can come up to make with it. So stay tuned to see what I come up with and maybe you will get a light bulb moment too.
So here is my first card. I was inspired by my oldest son to create this card for Valentine's Day. He is a Leo so I thought this would make him smile and oh how I love to see a smile on his face. I will post the recipe for this card below.
Recipe for Leo Card:
- Cut the base of your card @ 5 1/2 X 8"(I chose Bazzill-tomato)
- Score base @ 4"
- For the front cut @ 3 3/4 X 5 1/4
- Strip at bottom @ 1" X 3 3/4"
- Using Nestabilities: Label Cut 1 large and 1 next one down.(you could also use a cut with your cricut or cut a square)
- From Cricut Cartridge: Animal Kingdom on pg. 109 - Grrrr @ .75"
- Using same cartridge pg. 112 - lion head @ 2 1/2", Using the blackout feature and shift cut at 3 3/4 "
- From the Cuttin up cartridege I cut eat@1"
- I used Peachy Keen "Animal Kingdom " stamps for the face.(you could just as easily design your own face)
- I also uses ColorBox Cat eye ink: Chestnut Roan and Ruby to ink around the edges
- On the inside of the card I cut a 3 1/4 x 5 1/4" and then uses a Martha Stewart punch for the edges.
- The Happy Valentine stamp is from Michael's dollar bend.
Thanks for visiting Kim's Nest. Come back and see what else I have in store for you.
